What the Allen College Library is Doing

We're Making Some Changes...

In light of recent events, the Allen College library is scaling back on it's physical accessibility as far as hours and opening ourselves up to new ways of helping Allen students and faculty as we transition into a more virtual online learning space.

Check out our LibChat!

Located on the left menu, LibChat allows you to talk to an Allen librarian regarding library services, our catalog, online research, or finding resources to help you in your courses. Live LibChat is available Monday through Thursday from 8 a.m. - 4 p.m. Should you need assistance outside those hours, visit our Frequently Asked Questions page or send us an email at

Virtual Library Assistance via Zoom

The library is now offering virtual reference services for those that prefer to talk to a librarian over video. It allows for screen sharing and a more visual assistance in locating materials and helping with navigating the many resources we have to offer. Video Chat hours are 8 a.m. - 4 p.m. Monday through Friday and can be scheduled via e-mail to or by calling the library at (620) 901-6337.
